This 5 days Tsavo East, Amboseli, Tsavo west and Salt Lick safari bagin with an early morning departure from Mombasa then driving on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Tsavo East national Park arriving in time for a morning game drive with stop over at the Aruba Dam to encounter a wide variety of game then drive toward Voi Safari Lodge for lunch with game viewing en-route. Tsavo East National Park - Bachuma Gate along the Mombasa-Nairobi Road

Our Senior Safari Driver guide with our guests and friends at the Bachuma gate

We arrive at Tsavo East's Bachuma gate; safari minibuses lined up for entry in to Tsavo East, we disembark to stretch our legs and muscles and of course take a few picture like one above and the minibuses below

We begin our game drive marveling at the open plains of Tsavo East, the red soils and the large open blue skies

Our first sighting is a small bird (good omen for a superb game viewing LOL) on a faraway tree

Moments on we meet a huge herd of elephant but we take particular interest with the male who seems to be all by himself and our cameras set to work once again

We move on and are rewarded with sightings of Impala antelopes - a bachelor herd (a herd consisting of males only as the name suggests) and I take the chance to photograph our Senior Safari Driver guide and Tour Leader - Cornaleus Mwaruma with Implas feeding in the background

a short distance a head we meet a herd of female Impalas (a harem) - male and female impala keep to separate herds - only one male will be found in a female herd and he services all of them - until he is driven off by a dominant male hat is. Our camera goes to work once again and we manage to capture a couple of pic including the one below

We continue with game dive  sighting more animals and birds and finally we arrive at Voi Safari Lodge, lucky enough to meet elephants visiting the water hole and I manage to capture the unssuspecting tourist with the elephants and waterhole in the background

On the other waterhole there was a healthy herd of other elephants, note the impressively tusked one

We have our lunch and a short rest then we go out for the afternoon game drive along we meet plenty of elephants we manage to capture afew picture including the one below

And then Zebras crossing

We happened to have met a cheetah at a distance, then i realise i need to upgrade my equipment - it was too far to capture on camera! but anyway we head back to our Tsavo East Voi Safari Lodge for Dinner and overnight

Day 2 : Tsavo East – Amboseli

and so our second day began - with sighting of a pride of 3 lionesses on a rock

Then a group of Buffalo, i was particularly interested with the one below which looked like it had come out of the clay works!

Then a group of helmeted guinea fowl that dogged my every effort to capture them on Camera, nevertheless I got one whihc is presentable (or so I think!)

And off we drove to
Amboseli via the Mombasa - Nairobi  road again, we entered the park through the Iremito gate which is pictured below

Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West

After early breakfast depart Amboseli for Tsavo West with Game viewing en-route. Entre Tsavo West through Chyulu gate and proceed to Mzima Springs where you an opportunity to observe hippos, crocodiles and a variety of fish from an underground observatory tank.

and so we get to Tsavo West's Chyulu Gate we disembark from our safari mini-bus take photo and complete park entry formalities and on we proceed to the Mzima Springs

We weren't lucky to see hippos as most had died of an earlier drought but we did see fish and a hos of birds and baboons

Afternoon game drive to Rhino sanctuary with an a chance to spot the endangered black rhino among other animals. Dinner and overnight at Ngulia Safari Lodge.

Lady luck smiled on us, apart from Giraffe, Zebra and a lone elephant that was not too pleased with our company, we saw the Black Rhino, I was unable to take pictures - in fact this one was taken by the tourists who then emailed it to us
